Drainage Is Where Roofs Go Wrong
Guttering gets treated as the cheap end of a roof, and it shows. Undersized gutters, downpipes placed where they were convenient rather than where the water needed to go, and falls that were near enough on the day.
The result is a system that copes with ordinary rain and fails in a downpour, which is exactly when you need it to work.
On a new roof or a new build there is no reason for that. It is the one moment when the drainage can be designed with the roof instead of fitted around it.

We size the gutters, downpipes and rainheads for the actual roof area draining into them, set the falls so water runs rather than sits, and place the downpipes where the water needs to go.

Gutter Installation Questions
Yes. Guttering can be installed or replaced on its own. If the roof is also due, doing both together usually costs less overall because the access equipment and much of the labour overlap.
