Are You Fixing the Same Roof Every Winter?
If your roof has rusted through in places, the leaks keep moving, and you have already paid for two or three repairs, the roof is telling you something. It has reached the end of its life.
Rust starts where water sits, which is the laps, the valleys, behind the flashings and around every fixing. By the time you can see it from the ground it is usually well established across the roof.
Each repair from that point is buying a season. The money goes into a roof that still needs replacing, and meanwhile the water that gets through is working on the ceilings and the insulation.
Replace It Once and Be Done
We strip the old roof off completely rather than sheeting over it, which is the only way to see and fix what is underneath. Deteriorated timber, perished sarking and previous patch repairs all get dealt with before anything new goes down.
Then the new Colorbond roof goes on with new flashings throughout, and new gutters and downpipes where the existing drainage is not up to it. The result is a roof that sheds water as one system instead of relying on sealant.

Sometimes. If the corrosion is confined to a few sheets or one section and the rest of the roof is sound, sectional replacement is the better spend. Once it is general across the roof, replacement is the honest answer and we will say so.
We do not. Sheeting over hides whatever is underneath, including the timber and sarking that may be the reason the roof failed, and it adds weight to the frame. We strip it back and look.

No. The roof comes off and goes back on in sections so the house is never left open, and all the work happens from outside. You will hear it, and there will be a skip and access equipment on site.
