Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. It is a bigger job than a metal-to-metal replacement because taking the tiles off changes the load on the roof frame, so it can need engineering input and a building permit. We work out what applies to your house at the inspection.
It depends on the size and complexity of the roof, and whether it is a tile conversion. Tile conversions run longer because the tiles have to come off and be carted away and the battens usually need replacing. We put a timeline in the written quote.
It depends on the roof area, the pitch, how hard the roof is to get access to, and whether it is a tile conversion or a metal to metal replacement. We do not price off a photo or a phone call. You get a written price once we have been up on the roof.

Roof Replacement and Re-Roofing
Replacing roofs is the work we do most of. Usually the roof has rusted through, or it leaks every winter no matter how many times it has been patched. We take the old roof off, check the frame and battens while they are exposed, and put a new Colorbond roof on with all new flashings.

Tile to Metal Conversions
Swapping tile for metal is one of the bigger jobs we do on a house. The tiles and battens come off and get carted away, the frame gets checked now that it is carrying a fraction of the weight, and the new Colorbond roof goes on. Some houses need an engineer and a permit before that starts, and we organise it.

Roof Repairs
A leak is not automatically a new roof. Chimney and wall flashings, valleys, penetrations and loose fixings account for most of what we get called out to, and all of it can be repaired on a roof with life left in it. We will tell you which one you have got.
Gutters, Box Gutters and Downpipes
Roof drainage causes more water damage than the roof does. Undersized or rusted gutters, box gutters with the wrong falls, and downpipes discharging against a wall all put water where it should not be. We install, replace and repair the whole system. We do not offer gutter cleaning.

Metal Cladding
We clad walls in the same materials we roof with, from Colorbond steel through to zinc, copper and aluminium. On an extension it solves the problem of matching the original brickwork by not trying to, and it carries the same lifespan as the roof above it.
