They are taken off before the sheets come up and put back once the new roof is on. We include that in the quote, coordinate with your solar installer where the electrical side requires it, and flash the mounting points so the array is not the reason the new roof leaks.
Yes. New skylights can go in while the roof is off, which is the easiest time to do it, and existing ones are reflashed into the new sheets. Old skylights are also a common source of leaks on a roof that is otherwise sound, and that can be repaired on its own.

Tile to Metal Conversions
Converting from tile gives you a lighter roof, a warranty and a surface that solar can be mounted to cleanly. It is a substantial job, because the tiles are removed and carted, the battens usually need renewing, and the change in load can require engineering input and a permit. Anything mounted on the old roof is taken off and refitted to the new one.

Roof Repairs
Leaks tend to start where something interrupts the roof. Solar feet fixed without proper flashing, an aged skylight surround, a flue that has moved, or a wall junction that has opened up are the usual suspects. All of that is repairable, and we will tell you when a repair makes sense and when the roof has simply reached the end.
Gutters, Box Gutters and Downpipes
Drainage has to match the roof that feeds it, and that balance is easy to lose once a building has been extended or altered. We install and replace gutters, box gutters, sumps, rainheads and downpipes, and size them for the area actually draining into them. Gutter cleaning is not a service we provide.
