Tile to Metal Conversions
Swapping a tile roof for steel takes several tonnes off the roof frame, which is a structural change rather than a cosmetic one. Depending on the house that can mean an engineer looking at the frame and a building permit before anything starts, and we arrange both. The tiles and battens come off and are carted away, then the new steel roof and guttering go on. We do not work on a tile roof in any other way.

Roof Repairs
A roof with sound sheeting is worth repairing rather than replacing, and we will say so when that is the case. Corroded valleys, flashings at chimneys and wall junctions, split penetrations and loose fixings account for most of the leaks we are asked to look at. Each of those can be dealt with on its own. What the assessment gives you is a straight answer on which side of the line your roof sits.
Gutters, Box Gutters and Downpipes
Guttering is part of the roof as far as we are concerned, so it is assessed and quoted with everything else. Rusted joins, box gutters without enough fall and downpipes too small for the roof area above them are the usual faults.
