Why Glen Eira Homeowners Choose Us
We are metal roofing and roof plumbing specialists, which means the roof, the flashings and the drainage are all handled by the same team. Between us that is more than 30 years of experience, and Glen Eira is inside the area we cover week to week.
We price from what we find on the roof rather than from a rate per square metre, which is why the figure you sign is the figure that holds.
Licensed, insured and Master Plumbers members. On an older home that also means asbestos sheeting can be dealt with under licence rather than the job stopping while another contractor is found. Tile is common on the older housing here, so tile to metal conversions make up a good share of the work.

What Our Customers Say
- Marika Cominos Google Review
I recently had a portion of my roof replaced by VIC Metal Roofing and the guys did a top notch quality job. When I was looking for a roofer, I met with quite a few businesses until I found one that I could feel would deliver with quality and care. When I met Alex who came and did the quote it was clear that his business would deliver. The integrity stood out a mile from other businesses. Not only did they deliver quality, they responded without question to remedy a few small things and were able to fit me in earlier than originally scheduled. Communication with Alex was great with quick responses from start to finish. I would definitely recommend these guys if you are considering a new roof.

Roofing in Glen Eira
Yes. We work throughout Glen Eira, including Bentleigh, Carnegie, Caulfield, Elsternwick, Gardenvale, Glen Huntly, McKinnon, Murrumbeena, Ormond. If you are not sure whether we cover your address, send it through and we will tell you.
All of them. Roof installation, roof replacement and re-roofing including tile to metal conversions, roof repairs, gutters and downpipes, metal cladding and commercial roofing. We are metal roofing specialists, so we do not repair, re-bed or re-point tiled roofs.
It depends on the size and complexity of the roof, and whether it is a tile conversion. Tile conversions run longer because the tiles have to come off and be carted away and the battens usually need replacing. We put a timeline in the written quote.
The full Colorbond range. We bring samples to the inspection, because a colour reads differently across a whole roof in daylight than it does on a chart held indoors.
Yes. The Colorbond steel carries the manufacturer warranty on the finish, and you receive that documentation at handover. Anything else covered on your job is set out in the written agreement before the work starts.
Usually, yes. On an older roof the guttering is generally the same age as the roof, and the access equipment is already up, so doing both at once costs less than coming back for the drainage later.

Roof Replacement and Re-Roofing
Replacing roofs is the work we do most of. Usually the roof has rusted through, or it leaks every winter no matter how many times it has been patched. We take the old roof off, check the frame and battens while they are exposed, and put a new Colorbond roof on with all new flashings.

Tile to Metal Conversions
A tile to metal conversion changes how a house looks more than almost anything else you can do to it. It is also a bigger job than a metal to metal replacement, because the tiles have to come off and go away and the battens usually need replacing. Where the house needs engineering input and a permit, we handle it.

Roof Repairs
A leak is not automatically a new roof. Chimney and wall flashings, valleys, penetrations and loose fixings account for most of what we get called out to, and all of it can be repaired on a roof with life left in it. We will tell you which one you have got.
Gutters, Box Gutters and Downpipes
A lot of water damage starts in the drainage. Gutters rust at the joins first, box gutters fail when the falls are wrong or the sump is too small for the roof above it, and a downpipe pointed at a wall finds its way inside eventually. We install, replace and repair all of it. Gutter cleaning is not something we offer.

Metal Cladding
Metal cladding gives a wall the same durability a metal roof gives the top of the house. It comes up most on extensions and rebuilds, where trying to match old brick or weatherboard rarely looks right. We install Colorbond steel as well as zinc, copper and aluminium.

Commercial Roofing
Alongside houses, Glen Eira has shops, consulting suites, schools and apartment buildings with roofs needing the same work at a different scale, usually without the option of closing while it happens. We work directly with owners, owners corporations and facilities managers.
