Because of that weight change, the frame is assessed first and sometimes needs engineering sign off and a building permit. We handle those, cart the tiles away, and build the new roof from the battens up.

Roof Repairs
Repairs are worth doing while the sheets are still sound. Corroded valleys, flashings that have lifted off a wall, split seals at penetrations and rust creeping out from the fixings are all repairable in isolation. On larger buildings we also check whether the real problem is the drainage rather than the roof covering.

Drainage on a big roof has to be sized for the catchment, not simply fitted neatly. Undersized box gutters, too few downpipes and rainheads with no overflow are faults we find regularly, and all of them put water into a building. We replace and rebuild the whole system, though gutter cleaning is not work we offer.
