The appeal of going from tile to steel is a lighter roof with a long warranty and no bedding or pointing to keep up with. All that weight coming off the frame makes it a structural job, so engineering advice and a building permit are sometimes part of the scope. We handle the approvals, cart the tiles away, and build the new roof on new battens with new guttering.

Roof Repairs
Where the sheeting is still sound, a repair is the sensible answer and the cheaper one. We re-flash chimneys, parapets and wall junctions, replace corroded valleys and individual sheets, and reseal the penetrations around vents and whirlybirds. What we will not do is keep patching a roof that has run out of life, and we will tell you when that point has been reached.

Guttering gets ignored until it overflows into a wall or a ceiling. We replace eaves gutters, fascia, downpipes and box gutters, and where water has been getting inside we look at the fall and the sizing before blaming the metal. Clearing out gutters is not a job we take.
