Tile to Metal Conversions
Where a house still has tiles, steel is lighter, quicker to maintain and comes with a manufacturer warranty. The weight coming off the frame makes it structural work, so an engineer and a building permit are sometimes required before the tiles are touched. We arrange that, dispose of the tiles, and build the new roof on new battens with new guttering.

Repairs are worthwhile while the sheeting has life in it, and on a bigger roof they are often the only sensible option for a localised failure. We replace corroded sheets and valleys, re-flash parapets and wall junctions, and reseal penetrations that have split. Where the leak turns out to be the drainage rather than the covering, we will say so.
