Trusted With Macclesfield Roofs
Metal roofing and roof plumbing is the only trade in this business, backed by more than 30 years of combined experience. That means the roof is the job rather than one line item inside a bigger one.
We quote houses, sheds, units and commercial buildings, and for commercial and industrial work we travel Victoria wide. A roof an hour from the yard is part of how we already operate.
We are licensed, we carry our own insurance and we are members of Master Plumbers, and asbestos roof sheeting comes off under our own licence. The Google rating sits at 5.0 from 25 reviews.

What Our Customers Say
- Arnold Roxas Google Review
Alex of Vic Metal Roofing recently replaced all the flashing on our garage roof and chimney to due to water leakage to meet current standards. The results exceeded our expectation, excellent workmanship, professional customer service and informative on the solution. Communications throughout the process from quotation to the works carried out was clear and concise. Also left everything neat and tidy. Based on our recent experience, we would highly recommend Vic Metal Roofing for their quality, service and overall value for money. 🤗

Highly recommend Alex and his team. He took the time to inspect the project and find out what I needed before making his recommendations. Excellent communication and project management he kept me informed of project start date, turned up on time, and kept a tidy worksite. Excellent quality of work, and took the time to customise the fitting and installation due to the quirky nature of my home.

Ben and Alex were very professional to deal with. They were both lovely in all my communications, reliable and got the work done quickly and to a great standard. It was such a breeze from inital quote to final installation. Thank you!!

Roofing in Macclesfield
Yes. Macclesfield is in the Shire of Yarra Ranges and we travel out to it from Rowville. Send through the address and we will arrange a time to assess the roof.
The condition of the sheets and their fixings, the state of every flashing and valley, the guttering and where the water goes, and any sign that the frame underneath has suffered. We photograph it as we go so the quote makes sense when you read it.
Yes, and it usually works out better that way. The same set up and the same crew cover both, and the two roofs get quoted as separate lines so you can decide whether to do one or the other first.
No. We are metal roofing specialists, so tiles are not something we repair, re-bed or re-point. Converting a tile roof to Colorbond is a large part of our work and that is the option we can quote.
We do. The old sheeting or tiles, the battens and the offcuts all leave with us, and asbestos cement sheeting is removed under our licence and taken to compliant disposal.
The whole shire, including Monbulk, Silvan, Selby, Seville and Wandin North, plus the councils that border the shire.

Roof Replacement and Re-Roofing
The part of a replacement nobody can price from the ground is the structure. Once the covering is off we can see the battens, the rafters and whatever previous repairs have been done up there, and that is when the real condition of the roof becomes clear. We stop, show you what is there and price it before going any further, so nothing appears on an invoice without having been discussed. The old roof leaves the site with us rather than sitting in the yard.

Tile to Metal Conversions
A tile roof carries a lot of weight, and the removal of it is the reason a conversion is more involved than a straight re-roof. The frame has to be assessed for the change, which can mean engineering input and a building permit, and we deal with that side of it. The tiles themselves are a job in their own right, loaded and carted away rather than stacked somewhere to be dealt with later. Since we do not re-bed or re-point tiles, converting is the honest option we have on an ageing tile roof.

Roof Repairs
Valleys do a lot of work and get very little attention. They collect the water off two planes of roof, hold it longest where the fall flattens out, and corrode from the inside while the sheets either side look fine. Replacing a valley and the flashings around it is a standard repair. The other common call is a leak whose stain sits well away from the entry point, which is why we trace the path rather than sealing the nearest join.
Gutters, Box Gutters and Downpipes
Gutters fail from behind, at the joins and where they sit against the fascia, so by the time there is a visible problem the timber is often involved too. We replace the gutter, the fascia cover and the brackets as one piece of work so the new gutter is properly supported. Guttering can also be quoted on its own where the roof above is still sound. Cleaning gutters out is not part of what we do.

Metal Cladding
Sheds, carports and garages are the simplest cladding jobs, where durability is the only real requirement and Colorbond handles it. On houses the same material is usually doing something more deliberate, giving an extension its own finish instead of an approximate match to the original walls. We also install zinc, copper and aluminium where the look is the point. The fixings and the drainage behind the sheets are detailed with the same care as a roof.

Commercial Roofing
Workshops, sheds and industrial buildings are a steady part of our work, and for that side of it we travel Victoria wide. Older commercial roofs are often cement sheet, which we remove under our own asbestos licence before the new steel goes on. The staging is quoted as carefully as the sheeting, because the building usually has to keep running while the work happens. Box gutters and downpipes come under the same scope as the roof.
