We are a metal roofing company based in Rowville, and Tecoma sits in the Shire of Yarra Ranges that we cover. More than 30 years of combined roofing experience backs up the team.
In Tecoma that means repairs where a roof is worth repairing, and replacement in Colorbond where it is not. Tile to metal conversions, roofing on extensions and new builds, and the guttering that goes with all of it are part of the same work.
Shops and houses are quoted by the same team, with the staging planned around how the building is used. Contact us to book a comprehensive roof assessment.

Metal roofing and roof plumbing is the only trade we work in, with more than 30 years of combined experience behind it. The flashings and the drainage are where roofs fail, so that is where the time goes.
Our work covers houses, units, shops and industrial buildings, and the commercial side takes us Victoria wide. Owners, owners corporations and facilities managers deal with us directly on the scope and the program.
We are licensed and insured, Master Plumbers membership sits behind the business, and asbestos roofing is removed and disposed of under our own licence. Google reviews number 25 and average 5.0.

I recently had a portion of my roof replaced by VIC Metal Roofing and the guys did a top notch quality job. When I was looking for a roofer, I met with quite a few businesses until I found one that I could feel would deliver with quality and care. When I met Alex who came and did the quote it was clear that his business would deliver. The integrity stood out a mile from other businesses. Not only did they deliver quality, they responded without question to remedy a few small things and were able to fit me in earlier than originally scheduled. Communication with Alex was great with quick responses from start to finish. I would definitely recommend these guys if you are considering a new roof.

Roofing in Tecoma
Yes. Tecoma is in the Shire of Yarra Ranges and we cover it from Rowville, for homes and commercial premises alike.
Because they are what makes a roof work, and reusing old ones on new sheeting is how a new roof leaks in its first winter. Ridge and hip cappings, valleys, wall and chimney flashings and the gutter transitions all go on new, so the finished roof drains as one system.
Yes, and it is a large part of our replacement work. Removing the tiles takes several tonnes off the roof frame, so it is a structural change that can need engineering input and a building permit. We work out what applies and organise it before ordering.
In most cases, yes. We stage the roofing in sections so the premises keeps trading and the roof is closed at the end of each day, and we plan deliveries and access around opening hours. Where the layout or the hours make that difficult, we will say so in the quote.
Yes. Eaves gutters, box gutters, rainheads and downpipes are all part of what we do, quoted as separate lines alongside the roof. Clearing debris out of a gutter is the one thing we do not take on.
The whole shire, with Upwey, Belgrave, Selby and Tremont close by, plus Knox and the other adjoining councils.

Roof Replacement and Re-Roofing
The flashings are the roof, in the sense that they are what stops water where the sheeting cannot. A replacement renews all of them: ridge and hip cappings, valleys, aprons and step flashings at walls and chimneys, and the transition into the guttering. Keeping an old flashing to save a little is the most reliable way to end up with a new roof that leaks. Underneath, the battens and frame get inspected while they are visible and anything needing work is priced before it happens.

Tile to Metal Conversions
A conversion is led by the structural change, because taking several tonnes of tile off the frame alters what that frame is doing. Some houses need an engineer to look at it and a building permit before anything starts, and we arrange both. New guttering normally goes on with the new roof, since the existing gutters are usually the same age as the tiles and the new roof changes how water reaches them. The tiles and old battens are carted away as part of the work.

Roof Repairs
Chimneys and ridge capping account for a large share of the leaks we are called to. A chimney relies on an apron, step flashings and a back gutter all lapping correctly, and once one of those fails the water goes inside. Ridge capping works loose at the laps over years of wind driven rain and does it quietly. Both are repairable without touching the sheets around them, and both are cheaper to deal with before the ceiling is involved.
Gutters, Box Gutters and Downpipes
Gutters rust from behind, at the joins and where they sit against the fascia, so the timber is often soft by the time anything is visible from the ground. We fit a fascia cover and new brackets with the new gutter so there is something solid holding it, and the downpipes are sized against the roof area draining into them. Box gutters, rainheads and sumps are part of the same scope. Cleaning them out is not a service we run.

Metal Cladding
Cladding comes up on extensions and upper levels, where a new wall meets an older one and an exact match is either impossible or not worth paying for. Running Colorbond that relates to the roof pulls the house together, and a deliberate contrast is an equally valid choice. The most efficient time to do it is while a roof is being replaced, because the access is already set. Zinc, copper and aluminium are there where the finish carries the design.

Commercial Roofing
Shops, consulting suites and apartment buildings have roofs that cannot be opened and left, so the program matters as much as the roofing. We quote in stages, keep access clear, and agree the sequence with the owner, the owners corporation or the facilities manager before the first sheet comes off. On a strata building that means one point of contact rather than a chain of them. Sheeting, box gutters, rainheads and downpipes sit in one scope.
